Friends of Huntington Train Station

Project Overview

The Huntington Train Station has been welcoming residents and visitors to Town since 1868. The current station building is in disrepair and badly in need of upgrades, as do the grounds and the attached MTA building. The taxi stands, with the garish signs, are a blight, leading to a plan to reconfigure the area. The 1653 Foundation has set their sights on improving what should be the gold standard of municipal buildings, along with reimagining the traffic circle and beautifying it with new plantings and flowering trees. A new an improved station will be something all residents can be proud of.
