Acorn Fulfilment Project

Welcome to the Acorn Fulfillment Project!

We’re on a mission to get folks out and about, soaking up the fresh air and enjoying the beauty of Huntington’s trails. Think of it as a fun excuse to stretch your legs, boost your mood, and reconnect with nature—all while hunting for a little treasure.

Inspired by Block Island’s famous Glass Float Project, we’ve put our own twist on the idea: hand-crafted pottery acorns, lovingly made by a talented local potter and creative students. Each acorn has its own number and a QR code, and they’re tucked away along our network of historic trails. In 2025, we’ll be adding a fresh batch of acorns every month—and keeping the tradition going year after year.

Why acorns? Because they’re a perfect symbol of fulfillment. Just like an acorn grows into a mighty oak, regular trail walks can grow into a healthier, happier you.

How it works:

  • Acorns are hidden only on marked trails—never more than 5 feet from the path.
  • They might be nestled in the crook of a tree or peeking out from a stone wall, but there’s no need to dismantle walls or disturb nature to find one.
  • If you stumble upon more than one, you’re encouraged to keep your first and leave (or re-hide) the second so someone else can have their “Aha!” moment too.
  • When you find your acorn, scan the QR code to register it, and share your photo and story on our social media—we’d love to celebrate your find!

Lace up your shoes, follow the trails, and keep your eyes peeled—your little piece of happiness might be hiding just around the bend.
